My unique competitive advantage as a candidate lies in my ability to lead, innovate, problem-solve, and collaborate effectively in the field of education. My experiences across various roles have given me a comprehensive understanding of the education landscape, making me a valuable asset to any organization aiming to drive positive change in the education sector. I am an effective leader who empowers the team, fosters a positive work environment, and drives success within the organization. It is critical that I remain self-aware and open to continuous improvement, as leadership effectiveness often requires a dynamic approach that adapts to changing circumstances and individual team members' development. However, collaboration and open communication drive my style. I seek input from team members, involve them in decision making, strive for a culture where ideas are freely shared and discussed and team members are trusted to develop and execute.

Give an example of how you have helped another person grow in their career.

Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the ability to design and create new initiatives and organizations, such as the national network of educators and administrators, providing them with a platform for their professional voice. My proactive approach in driving conversations in education, participating in conferences, podcasts, and professional writing showcases my leadership and commitment to advancing the field of education. Most importantly, I was a classroom teacher for many years. I taught children to read, I am very proud of that and when I am asked what I have done to help another in their career, I think teaching someone to read, write and count is pretty high up there on the things that help!

As a candidate with experience spanning from 2005 to 2023 in various educational roles in the EdTech world, I possess a unique competitive advantage due to my diverse skill set and accomplishments. My experience as a National Intervention Consultant and Senior Curriculum Implementation Consultant highlights my in-depth knowledge of education trends and practices. As a Senior Curriculum Implementation Consultant, I have proven myself as a resourceful problem solver, analyzing complex implementations and providing tailored solutions to meet specific district needs. My ability to identify trends in education and use them to inform program development and product implementation positions me as a valuable asset in any educational organization. This skill is essential in the dynamic and ever-changing landscape of education.
